Last week was a time for celebration at Snow Bear Chalets, as we hosted over 100 people from Whitefish at an Open House, to showcase the completion of our first treehouse, Ponderosa Chalet.
The response from our community was unanimous- everyone loved Snow Bear! From bankers to realtors, from employees of Whitefish Mountain Resort to professionals who helped make Snow Bear a reality, the number one request was for an invitation to stay overnight at Snow Bear. The swooping beams of the structure high above the forest floor captured the imagination of many. Others were in their own fairy tale, spending time high up in the turret, on a giant Xorbee, underneath a sky of 600 fiber optic stars in the form of constellations. Most were fascinated by the cantilevered master bed, surrounded by large windows, angled to give the illusion of hanging out in mid air when you crawl into bed under the luxurious down comforter.
From the sparkling Cambria Quartz countertops to the Bosch appliances, from the beautiful TREX decking with Polywood Outdoor Furniture, to a private hot tub high up in the trees, our guests were inspired by the unique beauty that is Snow Bear.
After touring the treehouse guests were asked to guess the square footage. With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus the turret loft, a gourmet kitchen with dining area and a spacious living room area, the guesses ranged from 1400 to 2000 square feet. Keep in mind that many of these folks were professional real estate brokers who tour homes for a living. They were blown away to learn that Ponderosa is only 825 square feet. Our space is efficiently designed to maximize the functionality of every inch, using every nook and cranny rather than just building a bigger space.
We’re really grateful to the folks who joined us in this celebration and look forward to sharing Snow Bear with the rest of you very soon! We still have a few minor things to complete, and then we’ll be ready for summer guests June 17th, just in time for the opening of the summer season at Whitefish Mountain Resort. With hundreds of miles of trails for world-class mountain biking and hiking, breathtaking scenery for the photographers, the alpine slide and activities for the kids (and those who are young at heart), zip line tours for adrenaline junkies or a relaxing deck high up in the trees for those who want to curl up with a good book, Snow Bear Chalets has something for everyone in the family.
We look forward to sharing the magic that is Snow Bear with you soon!
